Customer Service - City & Guilds

Objectives

An Apprenticeship is a mix of real work and learning. Apprentices earn a wage and get experience whilst working towards a number of qualifications. An Apprenticeship follows a Level 2 programme and can lead onto an Advanced Apprenticeship which is a Level 3 programme.

Who is this course for?

As employees, apprentices earn a wage and work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills. Off the job, usually on a day-release basis, apprentices receive training to work towards nationally recognised qualifications. Anyone living in England, between 16 & 24 years-old and not in full-time education can apply.

The minimum salary an apprentice can expect to earn whilst participating in an apprenticship programme is £2.50 per hour; however, many apprentices earn significantly more.

 

Unit content

As part of employment, an apprentice will work towards gaining the following accredited qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 Customer Service
  • Customer Service Certificate or Award Level 2
  • Communication Level 1
  • Application of Number Level 1

As well as participating in a programme of learning covering the following topics:

  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities
